Charitable Donations

Because of our iconic status, we are proud to use the London Eye to help charities, big and small, to convey their messages.

The EDF Energy London Eye donates around £600,000 per year in cash and gifts in kind and including an average of 6,000 tickets to a huge range of local community groups and charities. Last year these included St Thomas’ Hospital, Coin Street Community Builders, Young Vic, Johanna Primary School and Waterloo Carnival.

The EDF Energy London Eye is an active supporter of Merlin’s Magic Wand, the Merlin Entertainments Group’s charitable foundation, and all our fundraising efforts are directed towards the charity. Merlin made an initial commitment of £100,000 and also donated 5,000 free tickets for children to its attractions, with free admission for parents or helpers accompanying them.
