The London Eye partners with iconic make up professionals the Powderpuff Girls to launch beauty experience

London, February 2009

This spring sees the London Eye launch a brand new exclusive package, offering visitors a luxury beauty experience with the gorgeous 50’s style make-up collective, the Powderpuff Girls.

From 16 March, the London Eye Beauty Capsule will be available to the public for booking. The experience provides visitors with a unique opportunity to enjoy a glamorous make-over, whilst admiring London’s panoramic views and enjoying a crisp glass of Chablis Domaine de la Concierge wine. Whether it is the pretty Venus look, the sexy Dita lips or the naturally beautiful Sahara glow, the girls will transform guests for their night ahead.

Having recently launched their 1950’s style salon in East London, the Powderpuff Girls are a testament to Britain’s growing passion for all things retro. Whether it’s a reassuring return to days gone by amidst or just a love of the kitsch, it seems we can’t get enough. The alluring Powderpuff Girls certainly add glamour to the popular department store make-over trend and where better to enjoy some true luxury than over looking the lights of London.

This exclusive experience is the perfect way to begin a hen night with your favourite friends, give a modern twist to the traditional baby shower or just celebrate a special occasion with your nearest and dearest. Whatever the occasion, this is a truly one-off experience that will leave guests with lasting memories.

Did you know?

Slowly but surely

Each rotation takes about 30 minutes, meaning a capsule travels at a stately 26cm per second, or 0.9km (0.6 miles) per hour - twice as fast as a tortoise sprinting; allowing passengers to step on and off without the wheel having to stop.
