Comic relief paints the town red!

29 Jan 2009

We all know Comic Relief is synonymous with the Red Nose – but what about red buildings? Or bridges for that matter? Red Nose Day is back and it is going to Paint the Town Red!

Thursday 29 January will see the launch of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day campaign. On 29 January, and again from 9-13 March the London Eye along with other iconic landmarks up and down the country will be turning red to mark the official launch of Red Nose Day 2009.

Cathedrals, castles and famous buildings throughout the UK will light up to mark the start of a six week campaign, culminating in Red Nose Day on Friday 13 March when the Comic Relief team asks the nation to Do Something Funny for Money! Comic Relief spends all the money raised giving extremely poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa a helping hand to turn their lives around. The London Eye is proud to support Comic Relief again after launching ‘The Big One’ in 2007.
