South Bank Patrol wins National Security Excellence Award

The South Bank Patrol has won the National Security Excellence Award in the Security Partnership Initiative category for 2011 at a gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel Park Lane on Wednesday evening in the face of some exceptional competition.

The judging panel stated that; “South Bank Patrol has proven to be an extremely innovative and successful service that has a vast range of responsibility in an exceptionally busy area of London. This award is also a credit to the foresight and commitment of South Bank Employers Group and the Metropolitan Police Team in the South Bank as well as the patrol team itself. It is worthy recognition of some exceptional partnership working between, police, security professionals and businesses.”

David Clark, Security and Risk Manager for SBEG and Eric Dench who heads up security at Coca-Cola London Eye and is Chair of South Bank Business Watch collected the award on behalf of the team on the night.

The award will be formally re presented to the team by Eric Dench at the next South Bank Business Watch meeting in December.
