Londoners to enjoy a free pair of tickets on the London Eye after a lunchtime work out
January 2009
To help ensure everyone is sticking to their New Year keep-fit regime, London’s most iconic landmark, the London Eye, is to stage a 30-minute lunchtime workout hosted by celebrity fitness instructor Mr Motivator.
Everyone's invited to pull on their leggings and sweatbands for a mass exercise session that takes place on Thursday 22nd January at 12:30pm.
Having welcomed its 30 millionth visitor last year, the London Eye is in tip-top shape. It's just had its annual check-up for 2009* and so is encouraging visitors to do the same and keep health and fitness at the top of their agenda!
Mr Motivator aka Derrick Adams, is the UK’s most-loved fitness trainer, known for his exciting and stimulating fitness routines on GTMV during the 1990s. Mr Motivator has recently made a comeback to British television returning to GMTV as part of their keep-fit campaign and continuing his drive to promote health and fitness as a way of life.
On Thursday 22nd January, he will be leading the capital for the first time in a free outdoor workout at the iconic London Eye. All participants will receive a free pair of tickets so they can cool down afterwards while enjoying the panoramic views of London.
The Jamaican-born fitness guru is thrilled to be hosting the event at London’s number one attraction and said: "It is great to be back in the UK and what a better place to get people on the right foot for the New Year, than at the London Eye. I will take participants through a 30-minute cardiovascular workout which will get the heart pumping and inspire people to get exercising in 2009.”
To join in, just turn up at Jubilee Gardens, the green adjacent to the London Eye on Thursday 22nd January at 12:30pm and let Mr Motivator help you make a fresh start to 2009.
