We appreciate people contacting us about what we know is an important subject. We are aware that 27th March - 2nd April is Autism Awareness Week and Sunday April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day as introduced by the United Nations in 2007.

In 2016 the London Eye and other Merlin attractions worked with UK organisation Autism Parent Empower to showcase how our sites are Autism Aware, and following a request from the founder we’re delighted to give this organisation and some special guest families affected by autism the opportunity to switch on the lights.

Following some valued feedback from individuals and after consulting the National Autistic Society (NAS), the London Eye will now be lighting up pink on Sunday, one of the colours of the NAS. We always strive to help as many charities as possible raise awareness for various causes with light changes, from our annual involvement in Remembrance Sunday to Pride in London and WWF’s Earth Hour, and we are looking forward to doing the same for World Autism Awareness Day.
