Inspiring perspectives of London Monday 9th - Sunday 15th April 2018

We love social media for finding out all the latest London news, what’s on and seeing beautiful pictures of @TheLondonEye and the city shared. We’ve picked some of our favourite hashtags and we’ve worked out how you can be on trend seven days a week in the capital.

#MondayMotivation

Getting up early and making the most of the day is one of the best ways to feel motivated. Here’s three things you can do before work on a Monday morning in London to impress yourself and your colleagues: visit Smithfield Market, join a British Military Fitness class in the park, visit the Sculpture in the City exhibition.

#CharityTuesday

Book a table for lunch or dinner at Clink Restaurant in Brixton and you’ll be served great grub in the prison walls by inmates working towards their food qualifications. You’ll be supporting the charity that is working towards helping employment opportunities on release, rehabilitation and the reduction of reoffending.

#WednesdayWisdom

The School of Life is an organisation dedicated to improving emotional intelligence. They run a variety of events, classes and workshops dedicated to self-development in their Marchmont Street shop or you can go online for books and kits, watch videos and find out more.

#ThursdayThoughts

London’s amazing art galleries are perfect for some time and space to meander and get lost with your own thoughts. Pop into the National Gallery, the Portrait Gallery or Tate Modern on your lunch break for a nice break from screen overload.

#FridayFeeling

Make your weekend feel longer by going out on Friday night. If you can’t decide if you want food, drinks or music, Street Feast has it all. Now just to decide if you want to go to Shoreditch, Canada Water, Canary Wharf, Woolwich or Lewisham.

#SaturdayMorning

Walk, jog or run 5k at 9am every Saturday morning at a parkrun near you. They’re free events run by volunteers and a great way to get fitter and meet other people. You just need to register once on the website and bring out the printed barcode with you. There’s events all over Greater London, the UK and the world so find the event closest to you or see how many different ones you can try as a ‘parkrun tourist’. London events include Highbury Fields, Clapham Common, Fulham Palace, Southwark, Hackney Marshes and Brockwell.

#SundayFunday

The week isn’t over yet and Sunday in London means big breakfasts, bottomless brunches and traditional pub roasts. For one of the best value full English breakfasts in London head to proper ‘caff’ E. Pellicci in Bethnal Green. Try Mac and Wild in Devonshire Square for bottomless brunch with a Scottish twist. The Anchor and Hope in Waterloo will not disappoint if you’re in need of a roast.
