London Eye pops Champagne for guests as it celebrates 16th year

On Saturday 23rd January, following the London Eye’s annual two week shutdown, sixteen lucky capsules, one for each year since the London Eye opened, will be upgraded to a luxury Champagne Experience, offering the chance for guests to sip on a chilled glass of bubbly whilst enjoying the incredible views of London’s skyline.

London Eye spokesperson Stephanie Francis said: “January can feel like a long month but can also be an opportunity to take a moment for yourself - the Coca-Cola London Eye is the perfect location to do this.

“We wanted to treat visitors and help them savour the moment as they take in incredible views of Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral and Houses of Parliament - what better way to do it than with a with a glass of Champagne in hand?”

With spectacular 360 degree views of London, alongside a wide selection of offerings to enhance your visit, such as the Pommery Brut Royal Champagne Experience and the Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Tasting Experience, the London Eye is the perfect destination for any occasion.

The London Eye River Cruise includes expert live sightseeing commentary on London’s most famous landmarks seen during the 40-minute tour, including Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
