The Coca-Cola London Eye supports WWF’s Earth Hour

  • Press Release

Earth Hour is a global movement uniting people to protect the planet. Turning off or dimming non-essential lights for one hour is a reminder that together we can make change happen and is a chance to think about the small things we can do every day to help create a brighter future. Last year in the UK, 10.4 million people took part to show how much they care about our brilliant planet.

All of our lights will be turned off with the exception of a small section at the top of the wheel which will remain red. This is in line with Civil Aviation Authority safety guidelines in order to be visible to low flying aircraft.

Ahead of Saturday, the London Eye took part in WWF’s #PassThePanda campaign which aims to increase awareness of Earth Hour by asking social media users to post pictures of themselves with cuddly pandas before passing them on for others to do the same.
